Demystifying - Distance–time graphs review

Drills

Reading speeds, distances and accelerations from distance–time and velocity–time journeys, gradient by gradient.

Author note — to cover
  • Fluency — the speed of a single journey segment from its distance and time, arranged to divide exactly (4 questions).
  • Whole journeys — total distance and average speed across a journey with a rest, where averaging the two speeds is the trap (4 questions).
  • Velocity–time — acceleration as the gradient and distance as the area under constant and straight-line sections, all values exact (4 questions).
