Demystifying - Taking out a common factor

Author note — to cover

Factorise into a single bracket by extracting a common numeric or single-letter factor, e.g. 6x + 9 = 3(2x + 3), x² + 5x = x(x + 5), checking by expanding back. The complete highest common factor, numbers and letters together, is the sibling page. Both tiers. (A4)
