Demystifying - Changing the subject review

Drills

Changing the subject of a formula, including subjects inside squares, roots and appearing twice.

Author note — to cover
  • Fluency — two-step rearrangements of formulae like v = u + at for t, answered as single choices between rearrangements since the engine cannot read a typed expression (4 questions).
  • Squares and roots — making the letter inside a square, root or fraction the subject, undoing the outermost operation first (4 questions).
  • Subject twice — rearrangements needing the subject gathered and factorised out, with the one-copy-moved version among the wrong choices (4 questions).
