Drills
Choosing and using the right trigonometric ratio in right-angled triangles, with exact values throughout.
Author note — to cover
- Fluency — labelling opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse, then sides found with tan 45° = 1, sin 30° = ½ and cos 60° = ½ (4 questions).
- Exact values — recalling sin, cos and tan at 0°, 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°, and angles recovered from exact ratios like tan θ = √3 (4 questions).
- Catch — a division where multiplication is expected, opposite and adjacent swapped by a rotated triangle, and an elevation angle placed at the wrong vertex (4 questions).
