Drills
Deciding which flat arrangements fold into a given solid, and tracking which edges and corners meet.
Author note — to cover
Decide which flat arrangements fold into cubes, cuboids, prisms and pyramids, tracking which edges and corners meet, and sketch nets of given solids. Nets are KS2-KS3 carry-over — no G clause names them — but boards still set them, and Mensuration's surface-area pages lean on them. Both tiers. (G12, G13)
- Fluency — direct questions on nets of solids, limited to this lesson's stated scope (4 questions).
- Application — use the same skill in unfamiliar or contextual questions without introducing a later method (4 questions).
