Drills
Estimating how many times an event will occur as probability times trials.
Author note — to cover
Expected count as probability times number of trials, with fair and biased devices, whole-number answers, and probabilities given in any of the three forms. Both tiers. Exclude estimating the probability from past results (predicting-from-relative-frequency, Experimental probability) and formal expected value of a distribution (A level statistics). (P2)
- Fluency — direct questions on expected frequency, limited to this lesson's stated scope (4 questions).
- Application — use the same skill in unfamiliar or contextual questions without introducing a later method (4 questions).
- Check — questions built around the exclusions and likely misconceptions named in the lesson brief (4 questions).
