Drills
Calculating single-event probabilities: equally likely outcomes, the not rule and expected frequency.
Author note — to cover
- Fluency — single-event probabilities from dice, spinners and counters as exact fractions, ending with which of two events is more likely (4 questions).
- The not rule — P(not A) from a stated P(A), and missing probabilities in tables that must total one, including one algebraic entry (4 questions).
- Expected frequency — probability times trials for whole-number answers, ending with a claim that treats the expected count as guaranteed (4 questions).
