Forming a rate per unit, using it in both directions, and converting it between units.

Author note — to cover
  • Fluency — pay from hours and unit prices from pack prices, including part hours as exact fractions of an hour (4 questions).
  • Flow — filling and emptying times from a stated rate, litres and minutes chosen to divide exactly (4 questions).
  • Converting — rates rewritten in new units, like pence per gram into pounds per kilogram, where scaling only one of the two units is the trap (4 questions).
