Demystifying - The median

Drills

The middle value of ordered data, and the halfway pair when the count is even.

Author note — to cover

Find the median of a list: order first, middle value for odd counts, midpoint of the middle pair for even counts, with the halfway position rule made explicit. Ungrouped lists only; frequency tables and grouped data have their own pages, and quartiles are Higher on the Quartiles pages. Both tiers. (S4)
